The Calvary Community Care Team is for those interested in helping with community assistance and benevolence requests. We receive multiple requests every week from people in our community facing challenging situations. When the person doesn't already have a support system, we offer for them to meet with us so that we can listen to their story, learn more about their situation and then love them well... providing long-term, sustainable change.
People serving on this team are required to take the 4 week Care Team Training and Equipping Class where we will look at what Jesus teaches us about how to love and help others, study concepts from the "Helping without Hurting" books, explore community resources, and practice how to walk beside someone asking for help.
