Duease Johnson has thirty years of experience in mental health. She received her MS in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from the University of California, San Francisco and she completed two years of post-masters training in family therapy from the Family Therapy Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has been in private practice for twenty years providing medication management to adults over the age of 18 and counseling for adults, couples, and families. She currently holds licensure in Indiana as a Registered Nurse.
Biblical Scripture, along with sound and complementary mental health practices, including CBT and Solution-focused therapy form the foundation of her counseling approach. She does not work with those experiencing addiction to substances or addictive behaviors, sexual abuse, severe trauma, or eating disorders. She specializes in working with adults suffering from depression, anxiety, adjustment to life stressors, life transitions (including geriatric concerns), relational problems, psychiatric conditions (eg. bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, and treatment of family members of those with mental disorders), anger management and disturbances within couples’ and family systems.
She sees adults and couples virtually, and families who are fully vaccinated in-person.

Risha Ruano accepts clients ages 18 and up and only sees individual clients, not couples. She sees clients online and clients who are vaccinated in-person. She is a licensed clinical mental health counselor, who has been passionate about helping others overcome mental health challenges for the last 10 years. While she worked as a student educator through her undergraduate studies, she saw the impact that unprocessed trauma as well as untreated mental health issues had on someone’s day-to-day life. It was through this experience that led her to seek a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is fueled by her passion to help others heal from unprocessed mental health wounds that prevent people from living an authentic life that is filled with freedom, joy, and peace.
