Guest engagement will always beat out guest attraction over the long term.

Instructions for Outside Front Door Greeters

  • Clearly stated, be outside of the building near the entrance to smile, greet, and open the door as necessary. We like to not keep all the sets of doors wide open as this is hard on our HVAC system.
  • Wear a "How Can I Help" lanyard to identify yourself to visitors who may need assistance.  
  • Shift starts 20 minutes prior to start of the service time and ends after the opening song.
  • If we have any Brand New Visitors, please personally walk them to the First Time Guest station and alert Jeff Brenner, or a member of the staff.

Instructions for Indoor Main Auditorium Greeters

  • Be outside of the main auditorium at one of the two entrances to smile, greet, and help as needed. 
  • Hand out weekly bulletins.
  • Wear a "How Can I Help" lanyard to identify yourself to visitors who may need assistance.  
  • Shift starts 20 minutes prior to start of the service time and ends after the opening song.
  • If we have any Brand New Visitors, please personally walk them to the First Time Guest station and alert Jeff Brenner, or a member of the staff.
  • After the first song concludes, please be sure the doors to the auditorium are closed.

Instructions for First Time Guests Table

  • Clearly stated, be at the First Time Guest table / banner area right inside the atrium.
  • Wear a lanyard to identify yourself to visitors who may need assistance.  
  • Shift starts 20 minutes prior to the start of the service time and ends after the opening song.
  • The Main duty is to have them fill out the information card.  Be sure to collect names, email, phone numbers, gender, and date of birth.
  • Find out any personal information about them and what brought them to Calvary and add that note.
  • Hand them a Welcome packet and a Copper Moon gift card.
  • Once you have their information, introduce them to a staff member or lobby floater and ask them to show them where to go.

Instructions for Lobby Floater Greeter

  • Wear a lanyard to identify yourself to visitors who may need assistance.  
  • Shift starts 20 minutes prior to the start of the service time and ends after the opening song.
  • Hang out in the lobby near the first time guests table.
  • The Main duty is to smile and greet, you'll do great.  If you see anyone who needs help, please do so or alert a staff member.
  • Look for someone who walks in and looks new and introduce yourself and show them to the fFirst Time Guest station.
  • Once all of their information is collected:  
  • If they have kids, walk them up to the kids check in and introduce them.  
  • If they are adults, show them where the coffee is and where the auditorium is.  
  • Be sure to alert Jeff Brenner or nearby staff member to new families.
