Our classes are divided by ages and readiness, but we do our best to work with parents in situations where children would be the best fit into a class that doesn't match their age. For our cuddlers, toddlers, and wobblers classrooms, children move up with they are ready. For our 3-5-year-old classes, children move up on their birthday. Kids going into 1st - 4th grade or 5th grade move up at the beginning of the school year.
If you have any questions about our classes or which is best for your child, contact Luke Morris at lmorris@yourcalvary.church.
Our Classes:
Cuddlers, Wobblers & Toddlers (2 years & under)
We have three rooms designed to best fit the different stages of our youngest kids. Our Cuddlers room is a soothing room where team members are ready to rock babies and begin floor play with infants as they are just beginning to roll, sit and take their first steps. Once your child is walking fairly steady and ready for more play and less rocking, they can move up to our Wobblers class. In this room, we have lots of toys and activities, while still providing a lot of one on one attention as your wobbler learns to play with others. Wobblers are ready for our Toddlers class when they are starting to run, ready for more table time, and have outgrown the more supervised play of the Wobblers class.
Preschool (3 years - Kindergarten)
There are three classes in our Preschool wing. When kids arrive, they will go to either the 3-year-old, 4-year-old, or 5/6-year-old classes. After a time of playing, all three classes go to our Preschool Worship room for a fun time of worship followed by their weekly lesson time. When the kids go back to their classes they will have snack time, worksheet time, and do a fun craft or activity related to their Bible story. Kids in these classes move up throughout the year when they have a birthday.
Elementary Kids (1st - 4th grade)
Our 1st - 4th graders all meet together in our large kids' worship auditorium. Arrive early so that your kids will have time to play a little basketball or foosball, build with Legos, draw on our whiteboard tables or catch up with kids from their school. Our elementary class is like "big church" only tailored for kids. We sing a few songs (with cool dance moves), play a game to help kids get their wiggles out, review our lesson from last Sunday, have teaching, and then divide into grades for "get in the Bible" time. We have a time of prayer, work on our memory verse and more.
